Rory Wells is a licensed, practicing attorney and one of the founding partners of the GoldmanWells Legal Group based in Red Bank, New Jersey. Prior to opening the firm Rory served as an Assistant Prosecutor with the Ocean County Prosecutors Office for nearly 12 years. While serving as a sworn prosecutor Rory handled hundreds of cases, including robberies, theft, drug cases and aggravated assaults while always striving to resolve matters with fairness and justice.
While at the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Rory also served as the Community Relations Officer and spoke extensively throughout the state on topics that include leadership, diversity, the drug crisis, generational issues and criminal law. He has lectured and trained, diverse audiences, including law enforcement, faith based, military, educators and non-profits. Rory serves as the Co-chair of the RWJBarnabas Institute for Prevention Dart Coalition, whose mission is to reduce substance abuse within Ocean County and the community as a whole. He also serves as the Co-chair of the Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Association – Criminal Justice Committee, whose role is the study and direction of policy and practices with Virtual Reality in the field of criminal justice.
Rory is a member of the Ocean County Bar Association, the Public Relations Society of America – New Jersey Chapter and the First Assembly of God Church in Toms River.
Rory earned his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, in government and public administration from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York, NY before going on to serve as a Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. After serving in the Marine Corps, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from Regent University School of Law, Virginia Beach, VA. He is the author of “Communicate with Power How to Deliver a Dynamic Speech and Move the Crowd”. Rory lives in Ocean County, New Jersey.
